I am Maja Kraljic, professional web manager interested in innovative web marketing, web design, my guitars, running and mountain biking. I live in Slovenia.
In recent years I have designed and coded several web pages and some printed material. Here you can see some of my latest projects.
If you fancy reading blogs in RSS readers feel free to add my RSS feed. If not, you can bookmark the page.
You can, similar to Google Docs and Microsoft’s Word, edit your text, add images, comments … but it is built in Flex (a free open source framework for building and maintaining rich web applications) and that’s why there are lots of animations making your editing enjoyable. Click on the picture bellow and see the editing screen.
My first thought was that the editor is a bit slow (due to my computer and internet connection) but I really like the user interface. Note the user comments and word count at the bottom.
I unfortunatelly can’t say that I will use it, while it is easier for me to open the word file in Microsoft Word or make a doc in Google Docs (to have all files in one place), but it is nice to know that it exists and that Flash is able to process all this data.
Well, the next Web application on my list is Photoshop Express - the Adobe’s photo editing web site.
I always like to attend these kind of conferences and/or festivals. For me it’s kind of taking a day off, leaving the HP’s web site behind and dive into other peoples work. Gathering ideas all the time, not only the ones that could be implemented in HP but mostly those which could be interesting for my personal adventures in digital space.
Well this time the core themes will be branding, PR, online advertising, virtual worlds and best practices.
Check out the timetable and join us on 15th April 08 in Ljubljana!
btw. Until 31st March 08 the entrance fee is only 15€
Here are some links for inspiration provided by Martin Mol and Jos van der Lee at last Kalidays - an international copywriting festival held last November in Ljubljana.
As you might know we have Earth Day (22nd April) and there is also an Earth Hour. Earth Hour is striving to create awareness about climate change and encourage individuals and organizations to join forces in the fight against global warming.
To join this awareness campaign turn out the lights between 8 and 9 p.m. on this Saturday, March 29, 2008.
I have been checking out the Zemanta’splug-in for blogs that lets you enhance the post with pictures and related articles.
The ease of installation really amazes me as there is no need to install a wordpress plug-in (only Firefox Plug-in), but it still shows up in the right column of the window where you write the post. It must be similar in other supported blog platforms but I haven’t checked them out.
I can’t say that I will regularly use it (because the nature of my blog) but it’s nice to know how it works and how much added value it can provide. Maybe it will be more useful for HP’s blog IT Mania.
It’s interesting that Vegrad announced it will start to sell new apartments yesterday and although the web pages are already live, it didn’t add a link to them on their homepage. Potential buyers are still thinking about how to get to the information. If you are one of them Click here
