HP web site in Flex

9. Apr 08 | Princess in Love Bra, Web | 2 Comments »

While I was searching the data about Adobe’s Flex (“Flex is a highly productive, free open source framework for building and maintaining expressive web applications that deploy consistently on all major browsers, desktops, and operating systems.” Source) I came across HP’s site – Free Print Projects with HP Print Studio that was build in Flex.

(Either JavaScript is not active or you are using an old version of Adobe Flash Player. Please install the newest Flash Player.)

It actually looks cool :) And there are lots of nice features to test.

Very interesting – I had no idea HP uses Flex (I suppose it is an US site though, they get the most interesting projects…sigh…)
I started looking into Flex a bit some weeks ago; it is quite cool and I wanted to use its built-in SharePoint web services library but I never found the time to dig deeper into that :(

Every new platform, language or framework takes a lot of time. I was experimenting with Flex a year or two ago … but didn’t get over the basic level. Not because it’s hard or complicated but because there is no time to pursue all interesting things in life.
Let me know if you manage to implement something interesting :)
